Complete the following analyzer functions from the Maintenance
tab: Drain, Backflush, and Alcohol Flush.
Empty the waste container. Prime the system and check if sheath
fluid is dripping into the waste container. Contact Luminex
Customer Support with this information.
If using the filter bottom plates, adjust the sampling probe height
up to prevent the probe from puncturing the filter.
Progress Bar Indicates No
Events Being Collected
During Calibration or
Verification
Ensure that the Luminex 100 analyzer and XYP instrument are
connected properly.
Empty the waste container if it is completely filled.
See if the tubing from the sheath fluid and waste containers are
connected properly.
See if the system calibrators or controls were properly mixed
before they were dispensed into the wells.
See if you added the system calibrators or controls to the correct
well on the plate.
Check if the volume added to the well is correct.
Remove and sonicate or flush the XYP instrument Sample Probe
to remove possible clogs.
Check if the Sample Probe is properly aligned.
Complete the following analyzer functions from the Maintenance
tab: Drain, Backflush, and Alcohol Flush.
Check to see if the delta cal temperature <
3.0 degrees.
Recalibrate if greater and retry.
Power off the Luminex 100 analyzer, the XYP instrument, and
the PC. Then, power them back on.
Calibrate and verify the system.
XYP Instrument
Problems
Power On Indicator Light
Is Not On
Ensure that the XYP instrument is powered on.
Ensure that the system is plugged into an outlet with current.
If using a surge protector, see if the power strip is switched to the
On position.
Remove the cable and reconnect.
Check the fuses (see “Fuses” on page 8-10).
