• Remove and sonicate or flush the Luminex XYP instrument
Sample Probe to remove possible clogs.
• Verify that the Sample Probe is properly aligned.
• Complete the following analyzer functions from the Maintenance
Tab: Backflush, Drain, Alcohol Flush and Water Wash.
• Verify that the delta cal temperature is
± 3.0 degrees. Recalibrate
if outside these limits and retry. Run controls if calibrating.
• Power off the system (Luminex 100 analyzer, Luminex XYP
instrument, and PC). Power on the system.
• Calibrate and verify the system.
Luminex XYP instrument
Problems
Power On
Indicator Light Is
Not On
• Verify that the Luminex XYP instrument is powered on.
• Verify that the system is plugged into an outlet with current.
• If using a surge protector, verify that the power strip is switched
to the On position.
• Remove the cable and reconnect.
• Verify the fuses (see “Fuses” on page 7-11).
Heater Block Will
Not Reach Desired
Temperature
• Verify that the Luminex XYP instrument door is completely
closed. Contact Luminex Customer Support.
There Is a
Grinding Noise
When the Plate
Carrier Moves
• Verify that the red shipping pin is removed from the Luminex
XYP instrument.
• Verify that the alignment guide is installed correctly. Contact
Luminex Customer Support.
