Introduction
About This Manual This manual provides you with information to understand and use the
Luminex
® 100™ IS system. It consists of multiple chapters and
appendices that take you from this introduction to complete system
operation.
The manual’s text and figures offer examples when necessary.
Procedures are presented as step-by-step instructions. Glossary and
index sections assist as references. This manual instructs you through
each operational stage for running the instrument.
The conventions in this manual assume a basic familiarity with
computers, xMAP
® technology, and a knowledge of Microsoft®
Windows
® software. We typically document the common methods
of accessing a command, such as from the main menu bar, from the
toolbar, and from menus that appear when you right-click an area of
the screen. Refer to the Glossary appendix for unfamiliar
terminology.
Intended Use
General System The Luminex 100 IS 2.2 system is designed to perform a wide-range
of xMAP technology-based laboratory tests, measuring biomolecular
reactions on the surface of xMAP microspheres. The system is
intended for For In-Vitro Diagnostics Use for Export Only.
