Optics – Single Luxeon

Optical solutions will determine the number or types of Luxeon needed to meet lighting

specifications. As a result, an optimal optical design will reduce the number of LEDs,

which will decrease the cost and complexity of the application. Whenever possible, it is

advantageous to use standard solutions, because the cost of developing custom optical

solutions can range in the tens of thousands of dollars. The following optics (collimators

and reflectors) are designed to be coupled to a single Luxeon.
