Low Voltage ICs

Low voltage ICs provide the necessary power to drive Luxeon from input voltages of 6V

and under. These solutions are ideal for portable applications such as flashlights, head-

lamps and bicycle lights.

There are two types of low voltages ICs. First, the Boost Regulator ICs are used when the

input voltage is lower than the forward voltage of the Luxeon LED. Second, the Buck

Regulator ICs efficiently reduce the input voltage and regulate the current for driving

Luxeon.
