17.5 REMOVE A GMAIL ACCOUNT
To remove a Gmail account from the Gmail app, you need to access the account-specific settings.
1. On a Home or All Apps screen, touch the Gmail icon .
2. Touch the Menu button.
3. Touch Settings.
4. Touch the name of the Gmail account you want to remove.
5. Under Data Usage, touch Gmail sync is ON/OFF.
The Accounts & sync screen will open.
6. Touch the name of the account you want to remove.
7. Touch the Menu button.
8. Touch Remove account.
9. To confirm, touch Remove account in the dialog that opens.
You can also remove a Gmail account directly in the Accounts & sync settings in the phone’s System settings.
1. On a Home or All Apps screen, touch the Menu button.
2. Touch System settings.
3. Under Personal, touch Accounts & sync.
4. Touch the account you want to remove.
5. Touch the Menu button.
6. Touch Remove account.
7. To confirm, touch Remove account in the dialog that opens.
