andbuildingfurniture.Youmustfirsthaveaplanorasketchofwhatyou
wanttobuild,alongwithatoolsandmaterialslistbeforeyoubegin.
Anotherimportantissueisreadingthenaturaltwist,stressorother
deformitiesinthelogsandusingtheseskillstoyouradvantage,allowing
yourpiecestobecomemoreuniqueasyourabilitiesgrow.Itisalso
importantistonotovercomplicateyourfirstfewpieces,soyoucanhavea
“positive”experience.
Beforestartingyourfirstproject,usesomescrapmaterialand“practice”
cuttingtenonsandusingtools.Makesureyouarecomfortableoperating
thedrillandcuttersbeforeyoubegintheproject.
