M360 Manual Installation & Operation 14
3.2.3 Other Controller Modes
If for some reason the power must be turned off while monitoring temperature, you may
manually set the power to none by pressing the AUTO, then raise or lower the power level in
the same manner used to change the setpoint. Set to 0% to apply NO power to the blackbody.
DANGER! NEVER SET POWER TO ANY LEVEL EXCEPT 0% MANUALLY. IF LEFT
UNATTENDED, THE BLACKBODY WILL OVERHEAT AND BE DAMAGED.
To return to normal operation, press the AUTO/MAN again.
TUNING CONSTANTS - The blackbody source was tuned at the factory. The tuning constants are
noted below.

3.2.4 Shutting Down
Turn off power using the power ON/OFF switch.
Warning:
DO NOT UNPLUG THE M360! The blackbody has a temperature
controlled cooling fan that remains active until the enclosure temperature is
below about 140°F. If the power is interrupted by external means, this cooling will
not occur and the devices in the enclosure may overheat. If power fails during high
temperature use, remove the top, rear cover plate to allow better convection cooling
until the blackbody is cool.
3.2.5 Using Serial Communications
