4. Remove (chip away) ceramic cement at this location with small hammer and screwdriver.
5. Slide outer tube out of cavity. Remove top cover screws only if the tube cannot be easily
removed.
6. Save the plug for use in the new tube.
7. Replace with new tube.
8. Install thermocouple.
9. Clamp new tube in place.
On older models, ceramic cement
must be broken (chipped away) to
allow tube to slide out.
