Trouble Cause Solution
Fluid leaks from the
hydraulic uid reservoir
(especially from the ller
screw)
Return of the hydraulic
uid from the rescue
device exceeds the
reservoir’s maximum
quantity when lled.
Reduce the level in the
hydraulic uid reservoir to
the mark on the dipstick or
inspection glass
Defective seal Have repaired by
authorised dealer or
directly by LUKAS
Leaking uid between
engine and ange bearing
Radial shaft seal on the
drive shaft is defective
Have repaired by
authorised dealer or
directly by LUKAS
Hydraulic uid milky and
cloudy
Water / condensation in
the system
Immediately replace
hydraulic uid
With mono-coupling-
system: hose assembly
cannot be coupled
Pressure too high (e.g.
caused by excessive
ambient temperature)
Switch valve block to
circulation at static
pressure
For the ISV valve: Have
repaired by authorised
dealer or directly by
LUKAS
Coupling defective Coupling needs to be
replaced immediately
With mono-coupling-
system: It is frequently not
possible to couple hose
assemblies
Hydraulic uid not adapted
to the application situation
Hydraulic uid must be
replaced (see chapter
“Recommended hydraulic
uids”)
Coupling defective Coupling needs to be
replaced immediately
With quick-disconnect
coupling system: hose
assembly cannot be
coupled
Pressurised Switch valve block to
circulation at static
pressure
For the ISV valve: Have
repaired by authorised
dealer or directly by
LUKAS
Coupling defective Coupling needs to be
replaced immediately
With mono-coupling-
system: Leak in the
couplings
