12.2 Preventive service
12.2.1 Care regulations
The exterior of the equipment is to be cleaned from time to time in order to protect it from
external corrosion. Oil is to be applied to the metallic surfaces.
12.2.2 Function and load test
If there is any doubt regarding the safety or reliability of the equipment, a function and load
test must also be performed.
LUKAS offers appropriate test equipment.
12.2.3 Replacingthehydraulicuid
- After approx. 200 deployments, but after three years at the latest, replace the hydraulic
uid
- The uid should be replaced when it is warmed up.
- The motor must be switched off!
- The old hydraulic uid must be disposed of properly.
Procedure:
1. Place the collection basin underneath the drain plug of the unit.
2. Undo the venting and drain plug of the unit and let the uid ow into the collection basin.
This enables easy cleaning of the hydraulic unit.
