You can configure Ethernet and Fast Ethernet interfaces to either full duplex or half
duplex. The duplex status of a port in autonegotiation mode is determined by
autonegotiation. An error message is generated if you attempt to set the
transmission type of autonegotiation Fast Ethernet ports to half- or full-duplex
mode.
The syntax for this command is:
set port duplex
[mod_num/port_num][full | half]
Example:
To set port 1 on module 2 to full duplex:
Console> (enable)
set port duplex
2/1 full
Port 2/1 set to full-duplex.
Console> (enable)
Set VLAN command
Use the set VLAN command to assign the port’s VLAN. If adding a new VLAN, the
VLAN number must be within the range 1 to 3071.
The syntax for this command is:
set vlan
[VLAN_num][module/port]
mod_num Number of the module.
port_num Number of the port on the module.
full Keyword to specify full-duplex transmission.
half Keyword to specify half-duplex transmission.
VLAN_num Number identifying the VLAN.
mod_num Number of the module.
port_list Number(s) of the port(s) on the module belonging to the
VLAN
