From the
IRDP State
pull-down menu for the selected interface, select
Enable
.

From the
Adv. Address
pull-down menu for the selected interface, select
Multicast
.
6.
In the
Min. Advertisement Interval (sec.)
field for the selected interface, delete
the default value and enter the minimum time interval that passes before the host
contacts the switch.
7.
In the
Max. Advertisement Interval (sec.)
field for the selected interface, delete
the default value and enter the maximum time interval that passes before the host
contacts the switch.
8.
In the
Advertisement Life Time
(sec.)
field, delete the default value and enter
the duration, in seconds, of the IRDP advertisement.
9.
Click
APPLY
to save your changes, or
CANCEL
to restore previous settings.
10.
In the
IP Configuration
section of the Web Agent window, click
Global
Configuration
. The IP Global Configuration dialog box opens.
11.
From the
IP Multicast Forwarding
pull-down menu, select
Enable
.
12.
Click
APPLY
to save your changes, or
CANCEL
to restore previous settings.
Min. Advertisement
Interval (sec)
The minimum time (in seconds) allowed between sending
unsolicited multicast router advertisements from the
interface.
This value must be no less than three
seconds and no greater than the Max. Advertisement
Interval.
The default is 0.75 times the maximum interval.
Max. Advertisement
Interval (sec)
Enter the maximum time (in seconds) allowed between
sending multicast router advertisements sent from the
interface. This value must be no less than four seconds and
no greater than 1800 seconds. The default value is 1800
seconds.
Advertisement Life
Time (sec.)
The time (in seconds) of the lifetime of the router
advertisements sent from the interface.
This value must
be no less than the maximum advertisement interval
and no greater than 9000 seconds.
The default value is
three times the maximum advertisement interval.
