Creating IPX SAP Name Filters
To create IPX SAP Name filters:
1.
In the 
IPX SAP Configuration
 section of the Web Agent window, click 
Name 
Filters
. The IPX SAP Name Filters dialog box opens. 
Use Max Packet Size Select to enable or disable whether the SAP packets sent out an 
interface are set to the maximum transmission unit size. 
• If disabled, SAP packets are limited to 7 service entries.
• If enabled, SAP packets can contain the maximum 
number of service entries allowed by the MTU of the SAP 
interface.
Periodic Update Interval 
(sec)
Specify (in seconds) the interval at which periodic SAP updates 
are sent out an interface.
Aging Interval Multiplier Specify the length of time that information from received SAP 
updates are kept as a multiplier of the Periodic Update Interval.
Triggered Updates Select to enable or disable whether SAP updates are 
immediately transmitted to the network in response to changes 
in the network topology.
Get Nearest Server Reply Select to enable or disable whether the router responds to Get 
Nearest Server requests received on the interface.
Get Nearest Server Reply 
Delay
Specify the delay (in msecs) to wait before responding to a Get 
Nearest Service request received on the interface.
Mode Select the mode for the SAP interface.
Options include:
• Talk/Listen - Send and receive advertisements.
• Talk Only - Send advertisements.
• Listen Only - Receive advertisements.
