INSTALLATION Connect the line cord. Plug one end o f the telephone line cord into the jack labeled T E L L I N E on the back o f the system. Plug the other end into a phone w a l l jack. Connect the telephone. NOTE: If you do not want to connect a telephone, skip to Step 3. Plug the line cord from the telephone into the jack labeled T E L S E T on the back o f the system. Connect the power cord.

OPERATION m Recording Your Announcement Before using this answering system, you should record the announcement (up to 3 minutes long) that callers w i l l hear when the system answers a call. I f you choose not to record an announcement, the system answers w i t h a prerecorded announcement: "Hello. call. Set to 2 for t w o rings, set to 4 for four rings, or set to T S for T o l l Saver.
OPERATION Skip to next message ISKIP/SCANi. — Press and release S k i p p a r t of a message — T h e s y s t e m can r e c o r d a p p r o x i m a t e l y 12 Hold down {SKIP/SCAN': for a few seconds, then release i t to resume playing.
