Advances in ash memory technology are increasing the range of storage system solutions available to meet the
expanding challenges of today’s market. In applications where high transaction rates are required, but where size,
heat and total cost of ownership are equally compelling factors, LSI technology has taken a leadership position.
Placing ash memory in HDD form factors can remove the latency of traditional rotating memory as well as
reducing power and size requirements. Further system enhancement is possible by also moving this new storage
technology into a more advantageous place in the performance hierarchy, “closer” to the processor on a PCIe bus.
