Appendix N: Remote Viewing (Mac)

Prerequisite:

• Follow the steps on page 51 to page 58 to set up remote viewing on the DVR.

NOTE: The remote viewing interface on the Mac is identical to the PC, with the exception

of the Se

arch menu. For details on how to configure the system remotely, follow the

PC remote viewing instructions.

NOTE: When

onnecting for the first time, you will be prompted to restart your Safari

browser after installing the plug-ins. Make sure you exit the browser completely

(right-click on the Safari icon, and click Quit).

Remote Viewing on the Mac

Upon login, the Remote Surveillance main screen opens in your browser.

1 Navigation Tabs: Al

lows you to access the following tabs:

• Live: Live view of video.

• Playback: Re

visit archived video footage.

• Remote Setting: Configure system and networking options.

• Local setting: Configure where local files are stored on your hard drive.

• Logout: Exits remote viewing.

2 Active Channel List: Disp

lays channels that are currently live.
