FACTORY TESTS
The submitter shall ensure that the factory tests are conducted at the frequency specified and the results are
documented and made available for review by CSA field services representatives.
Test Frequency
Test Fire Burner, Manifold & Control Assy. – Proper Operation 100%
Pass/Fail Criteria:
Valve shall turn freely
The ignition device shall light the burner.
The burner flames shall carryover and burn at all ports
Manifold and Control Assembly – Gas Tightness 100%
Pass/Fail Criteria:
No leakage shall be observed
Burner Operating Characteristics 1 per 100, at least 1 per week
Pass/Fail Criteria:
Immediate ignite the burner at normal pressure, the burner shall light without delay and the flame
carryover all burner ports; the burner shall not flash back and flame shall not flash outside the
enclosure; the burner shall without back pressure (using a flame near the burner air inlet opening,
the flame shall be drawn into the burner).
Ignition 1 per 100, at least 1 per week
Pass/Fail Criteria:
Check the burner ignition by the ignition device of the grill and match. The burner shall be lit
within 4 seconds after the gas has been filled with the burner. Safety shut off system shall
prove the main burner flame within 90s and shut off gas automatically within 180
seconds after the appliance operated 0.5hour and burner flame extinguish.
Combustion 1 per 100, at least 1 per week
Pass/Fail Criteria:
The flue gas shall be secured after the burner in operating 45 min at normal pressure. The CO
in the flue gases shall not in excess of 0.08%.

1. Component descriptions marked with either the "(INT)" or "(INT*)" identifiers may be substituted with
other components providing the requirements specified under the notes in the "Description" are complied
with.
