V - Result Code Form
This command selects the sending of short-form or long-form result codes to the DTE.
Syntax
V[value>]
Defined Values
<value> Decimal number corresponding to the selected option.
0 Enables short-form (terse) result codes. Line feed is
not issued before a short-form result code.
1 Enables long-form (verbose) result codes. (Default.)
Result Codes
OK <value> = 0 or 1.
ERROR Otherwise.
W - Connect Message Control
This command, in conjunction with S95 bits 0, 2, 3, and 5 (bits 2, 3, and 5 can be written
directly by the host or by the +MR, +ER, and +DR commands, respectively), control the
format of CONNECT messages (see Section 3.4 and Table 3-15). The actual result code
messages reported reflect the W command setting and the S95 bit settings. (Also see +MR,
+ER, and +DR commands.)

<value> Decimal number corresponding to the selected option.
0 Upon connection, the modem reports only the DTE
speed (e.g., CONNECT 19200). Subsequent
responses are disabled. (Default.)
1 Upon connection, the modem reports the line speed,
the error correction protocol, and the DTE speed,
respectively. Subsequent responses are disabled.
2 Upon connection, the modem reports the DCE speed
(e.g., CONNECT 14400). Subsequent responses are
disabled.
3 Upon connection, the modem reports DCE speed and
the error correction protocol.
Result Codes
OK <value> = 0-3.
ERROR Otherwise.
