S p e a kers produce weak or no sound.
• Is the power light on? Make sure the speakers are plugged into an AC outlet and the powe r / s ta n d b y button is on.
• Is th e r e output from the soundcard? Try connecting the speakers to an alte rn a t i v e audio source - for exa m ple, a CD
p l a ye r, cassette tape deck, or radio. If th e r e’s sound from the speakers, the problem is pro b a b l y with your soundcard. If no
o ther sound source is available, try re m oving the plug from the soundcard and turning the speaker to maximum vo l u m e .
You should hear a hum or buzz when you to u c h the tip of the plug. If you do, the speaker is ok, and you should ch e c k
your soundcard setup.
• A r e headphones plugged into the speaker? Sound is blocked whenever the headphones are plugged in. Try re m ov i n g
them to re s to r e sound to the speake r s .
One speaker doesn’t produce sound.
• Is the soundcard connection secure? Make sure the cable from the soundcard to the main speaker is pro p e r l y secure d .
• Is the balance control cente re d ?
