3 Answering machine functions
Faulty sound:
Record the message again, this time louder.
The answering machine no longer accepts any messages:
Check that the answering machine is in service.
Some messages have not been entirely recorded:
The caller's voice was too low, the machine stopped recording.
The caller stopped speaking for over 5 seconds during the recording of the
message, so the machine automatically stopped the recording.
The caller started speaking before the beep.
The answering machine's memory reached full capacity during the conversation.
For remote use (access, activation, etc.), be sure to follow these instructions:
A direct line at tone must be used.
If you call via a switchboard, a beeper must be used (not included).
If the telephone line is using pulse dialling, a beeper must be used (not included).
The remote access code is not typed in properly or is incorrect.
The answering machine cannot be activated remotely:
The memory is full (the viewer displays "FF"), all messages must be listened to
and deleted.
The remote access code is not typed in properly or is incorrect.
"PB FULL" is permanently displayed on the handset:
The answering machine's memory is full; you must listen to all the messages
then delete them to be able to record new massages.
General information
IMPORTANT
This telephone was not made to place emergency calls during a power cut. Please
ensure you make alternative arrangements.
1 Replacing the handset batteries
After a certain amount of time, the handset batteries may discharge faster. This is due
to normal use. The batteries must be replaced.
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Take the batteries out and replace them with new Ni-Mh batteries.
3. Push the battery cover back on until you hear the click.
WARNING
Do not dispose of the batteries in fire or water. Do not dispose of them as household
waste.
Find out how you can recycle them.
2 Safety instructions
The telephone set cannot be connected to an IT power plan.
The set is powered by an AC/DC mains adaptor, in compliance with the EN 60950
norm, plugged into a 230 V AC 50 Hz socket.
