Troubleshoong the Actus Electric Actuator
TheActuselectricactuatorandLodarcontrollerhavenoserviceablepartsinside.Do not disassemble! Pleasefollowthestepsbe‐
lowtotroubleshootyourActusactuator.If any of the tests fail, contact your local dealer/distributor for addional troubleshoong
informaon or replacement parts.
1. Does the actuator moves freely when unpowered? Withthewirelesssyst em turnedoff,theactuatorshouldallowfor
smoothmanualoperangofthecontrolvalvehandle;excessiveforce
isnotrequired.
2. Does the actuator clutch engage?DisconnecttheactuatorfromtheLodar.Connectthegreenwire(pin3)to12VDCandthe
whitewire(pin4)toground.Oncebothwiresareconnectedtheclutchwillengage,makingtheactuatorrodoutputunableto
movefreely.
3. Does the actuator rod move in and out?Disconnecttheactuatorfromthe
Lodar. Connectth egreenwire(pin3)to12VDC
andthewhitewire(pin4)toground.Thiswillengagetheclutch.Connecttheredwire(pin1)to12VDCandtheblackwire
(pin2)toground.Theactuatorwillbegintoextend.*Disconnecttheredwirebeforethe
actuatorreachestheendofthe
stroke.Nowmovetheblackwire(pin2)to12VDCandtheredwire(pin1)toground.Theactuatorwillbegintoretract.Dis‐
connecttheredwirebeforetheactuatorreachestheendofthestroke.*WARNING‐BECAUSETHELODARCONTROLLERIS

