Tools Typically Required:
Masking tape and tooling device.
Safety Precautions:
Apply and cure in a well ventilated area. Wear gloves and wash hands after use.
Preparation:
Apply sealant between 40°F (5°C) and 100°F (38°C). Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of old caulk, grease, dust and other contaminants.
Remove mold or mildew using bleach and detergent that does not contain ammonia. Rinse surface and allow to dry. For neat bead lines, mask
both sides of the joint.
To operate the dispenser first remove the black tear away tab. Remove the red plastic cap from the nozzle. Slide the red tab to the right to open
the nozzle and release the red trigger. Press on the trigger to dispense product. Adjust the bead side by sliding the red tab to the right to
increase or to the left to reduce the bead width. The nozzle can be rotated 180° for easier application.
Application:
Apply sealant with steady pressure, forcing the sealant into the joint. Smooth bead immediately with a wet finger or a tool. Remove masking
tape immediately after tooling and wipe excess off of hands and tools. Sealant is paintable within 2 hours depending on temperature and
humidity. Allow at least 24 hours before exposing to water. Periodically clean cured sealant with non-abrasive cleaner for best appearance.
Rinse well after cleaning. Note: The clear product will extrude white and will turn clear as it dries. After use, replace the red cap tightly on the
nozzle and slide the red tab fully to the left to seal the container for future use.
Clean-up
Clean tools and sealant residue immediately with warm water and soap. Cured sealant may be carefully cut away with a sharp-edged tool.
DAMAGED BY FREEZING. To maximize shelf life, store cartridge in a cool, dry place at temperatures above 40°F (5°C) and below 100°F
(38°C). Take unwanted product to an approved household hazardous waste transfer facility. Hardened material may be disposed of with trash.
