OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable, dry and heat- resistant surface.
2. Plug the electrical appliance connector / thermal controller into the appliance socket, then plug
the supply cord /plug into a mains supply socket outlet and switch on the socket.
Note: some initial force may be required to insert the appliance connector into the grill
socket, this is due to the length of the temperature probe, ensure fully inserted before
attempting operation.
3. Adjust the temperature dial on the electrical appliance connector/ thermal controller to your
desired setting (see thermostat control dial guide over page), the grill will start to heat.
4. For best results always pre-heat the grill for three to four minutes before use. The
appliance connector /thermal controller has an orange indicator light adjacent to the dial, the
light will illuminate when the element is on will switch off when the set temperature has been
reached. Note – the light will cycle on/off during operation, indicating that the set
temperature is being regulated.
5. Once the preheating period is complete and the grill has reached the desired temperature,
apply food and check regularly to see how the food is cooking and turn as required.
6. When the food is fully cooked remove it carefully from the grill using a spatula / tongs, ensure
the utensils are suitable for non-stick surfaces (ie wood or plastic – do not use metal utensils as
these may cause permanent damage to the non-stick surface coating).
7. Immediately after use unplug the grill and allow it to cool sufficiently before cleaning and
storage, always ensure that the drip tray is removed and cleaned.
