“Saw” and “square” are similar
waveforms. The saw has a “mellow”
character to it and the square
sounds more “edgy.”
The timbres of these two
waveforms are most related to bowed
strings and brass in the acoustic
instrument families.

The “pitch” range goes from being
so low that it is unpitched (you
actually hear clicks) to very
high pitches. You can have lots
of fun by twisting the pitch knob
and “sweeping” through all the
frequencies!
Touch the silver speaker cone
and notice how it moves when
you change from higher or
lower pitches.
