MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Impeller and Volute
Periodic cleaning of the pump parts will prolong the life and
eciency of the pump.
1. Remove the 5 bolts and 5 washers (1, 2) that secure the base (4)
to the volute (3), then separate the base (4) from the volute (3).

WARNING Do not remove the motor
housing cover. Warranty is void if the motor housing cover,
impeller or seals have been removed.
3. Remove all debris (gravel, sand, floating debris, etc.)
from the basin.
4. Clean the impeller (5) and the volute passage (6).
Do not use strong solvents.

CAUTION Do not remove the impeller.
Removal of the impeller requires special tools and is to be
done only by an authorized service center.
5. Be sure the impeller turns freely after cleaning.
6. Place the rubber gasket (7) over the base (4).
7. Attach the base (4) to the volute (3) and secure it with
the 5 bolts and 5 washers (1, 2).

CONNECTIONS FOR PUMP OPERATION
Manual Operation
Disconnect the pump cord from the float switch extension and plug it
directly into the GFCI outlet.

CAUTION This type of operation should be used
only for emergency use or when a large volume of water is to be
pumped. Pump must not be allowed to run dry. If pump is run dry,
it may damage pump and void the warranty.
Automatic Operation
Plug the pump cord into the float switch extension. Plug the float
switch cord (with pump cord attached) into the GFCI outlet.
