What are the sizes and lumen packages available
for the XVML LED vapor tight fixture?
The XVML LED series is available in 3500 lumens and
5000 lumens. Both fixtures are just under 4’ in length.
The 3500LM fixture is only 3.25” wide and less than 3”
in height. The 5000LM fixture is slightly wider at 4.5”
and is only 3” in height.
What are the available mounting options for the
XVML LED vapor tight fixture?
The XVML can be surface, suspended, corner or junction
box mounted. Mounting hardware kit for surface mounting
to a ceiling or wall (horizontally or vertically) is included as
standard and also includes hooks for suspended mount
(chain and wire not included). A 45° corner bracket mount
(XVMLANGBKT45) and junction box mount (XVMLJSB)
bracket are available as optional accessories.
Can I order a factory-installed cordset for this fixture?
No. There is no factory-installed cordset option available
for this fixture. If a cordset is needed, it must be installed
in the field.
Can I make the XVML LED vapor tight fixture to be
tamper resistant? If so, how?
The housing, latches and lens are made of high-impact
polycarbonate material for durability. To prevent tool-less
access into the fixture, a #6 – 32 x 3/8” fastener
(not supplied) can be added to secure each latch.
Can I order the XVML LED fixture in a different
housing color?
The standard polycarbonate housing color is light grey
which is ideal for most environments and applications. No
other colored housings or lenses are available at this time.
Are any factory-installed controls available?
There are no factory-installed controls options available
for the XVML LED fixture at this time.
What is the IP Rating for the XVML LED vapor
tight fixture?
The XVML LED vapor tight strip light has an IP66 rating
and is suitable for wet locations.
How do different mounting options impact the IP rating?
The 3500LM and 5000LM fixtures maintain their IP66 rating
when it is ceiling, suspended, wall mounted or corner
mounted. When the junction box mount is used, the
3500LM and 5000LM fixtures are IP65 rated.
Why are two latches at either end captive?
Two latches on one side of both ends of the fixture are
cleverly designed to retain the lens when accessing the
fixture so the lens doesn’t get dropped, misplaced, or
damaged during wiring.
What tools are needed to access the XVML LED
vapor tight fixture?
No tools are necessary to access the XVML LED vapor tight
fixture. Access is accomplished by releasing the latches and
then turning the retaining mechanisms that secure the LED
board to the housing. The LED board is secured and kept
from falling by retaining wires.
What is the ambient temperature range for the
XVML LED vapor tight fixture?
-40°F (-40°C) to 104°F (40°C)
What is the shipping weight and pallet quantities
of the XVML LED vapor tight fixture?
The 3500LM configuration weighs 4.4 lbs. (4.6 lbs. with
packaging) and the pallet quantity is 144 units. The 5000LM
fixture weighs 6.1 lbs. (6.4 lbs. with packaging) and the
pallet quantity is 99 units.
