Part Number: IM-459 Rev A
Revision Date: 8/29/19
NOTE: Luminaire can be lted up to 90 degrees above horizontal
Tools Required:
• 3/8" Socket Wrench
• 9/64" Allen wrench
• 3/8” Allen Wrench
Minimum Square Pole: 3.5” Face
Minimum Round Pole: 3.2” Diameter
1. Loosen the cover screws of the arm cover (See gure 20) and
remove the cover to gain access to the top half of the key-slot
mounng feature.
2. Idenfy which mounng bar should be used to aach the
luminaire to the pole. Refer to the RPA/SPA installaon instruc-
ons, steps 2 through 6. Note that main dierence in mounng
is that the top bolt on the AASP/AARP will be inside the wiring
area and the boom bolt will be exposed. Once the luminaire is
mounted securely to the pole, the angle of the luminaire can be
safely adjusted.
3. If the luminaire angle will be adjusted DO NOT pull
the luminaire supply wires taut – leaving slack in the input wires
will make angle adjustment easier. If the luminaire angle will not
be adjusted, skip to step 5.
4. Loosen the 7/16-14 adjustment bolt, reorient luminaire as
desired, up to 90°, and reghten adjustment bolt to 35-40 -lbs
(See Fig 21). For units with photocontrol receptacle, the xture
mounng angle must be restricted per ANSI C136.10 and it is
recommended to not install beyond 45° from horizontal.
5. Make all wiring connecons via the supplied wire leads in ac-
cordance with NEC and local codes.
6. Ensure that the arm cover gasket is sll in place and place it
back in the channel if it has come loose.
7. Place wires back into the arm cavity and, ensuring that no
wires or tethers are going to be pinched, reaached the arm
cover. Tighten the cover screws to 18-20 in-lbs.
8. Energize the luminaire to verify its operaon and proper il-
luminaon of area.
