Chapter 1 – Turning the Unit On and Off, Charging, etc.

Turning the device On: The power switch is located on the right hand side of the unit. To turn the

device On, press the power button briefly and release.

Suspending the Unit:

(Not implemented in the demo software load) The device can be placed in a

low power mode that allows it to stay connected to the network and to receive messages. The power

consumption drops significantly when the device is Suspended – significantly lengthening the

battery life. While in the suspended state, the green LED indicator on the right hand side of the

device will flash when a new message is received.

Turning the device Off:

To turn the device Off, press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds

and release.

Charging the Unit:

Plug the AC-Adapter into the DC jack on the back side of the unit and into an AC

Power outlet. The unit can be used while it is being charged.
