FINISHING

Sew shoulder seams. Sew in Sleeves. Sew side and Sleeve seams.

Sleeve Edging

From RS, join C with a sl st on lower edge of Sleeve at seam.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc evenly around wrist edge of Sleeve, being sure to have an

even number of scs; join with sl st in first sc.

Rnd 2: Do not turn, ch 2, working in opposite direction for rev sc, sk next st, rev

sc in next st, *ch 1, sk next st, rev sc in next st; rep from * around; join with sl st

in beg ch-2.

Fasten off.

Rep edging on second Sleeve.

Cardigan Edging

From RS, join C with a sl st on lower edge of Cardigan at either side seam.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc evenly around entire outside edge of Cardigan, working 3

sc in each corner and being sure to have an even number of scs; join with sl st in

first sc.

Rnd 2: Rep Rnd 2 of Sleeve edging.

Fasten off.

Shell Trim

Work shell trim as desired along some of the Mesh rows.

Work as many sections of trim as you like, in any length you like and with yarn

colors of your choice.

To work trim along a Mesh row:

Row 1 (RS): Join yarn with a sl st in first dc of any 2-dc group, ch 5, sc in next

ch-1 sp, *ch 4, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * until trim is desired length and you

have an even number of ch-sps (including the beg ch-5 sp), ch 2, dc in 2nd dc of

next 2-dc group.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, *5 dc in next ch-4 sp, sc in next ch-4 sp; rep

from * across working last sc in 3rd ch of beg ch-5. Fasten off.

Weave in ends.
