MATERIALS

· Lion Brand® Mandala® (Art. #525)

§ 212 Spirit 1 ball

· Lion Brand® size H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook

· Lion Brand® large-eyed blunt needle

GAUGE

13 1/2 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) over Rows 2 and 3 of pattern.

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

STITCH EXPLANATION

hdc2tog (hdc 2 sts together) (Yarn over, insert hook in next st and draw up a

loop) twice, yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTES

1. Scarf is worked in one piece.

2. Decreases and increases are worked to create a diagonal design.

SCARF

Ch 34.

Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook (2 skipped ch count as hdc) and in each ch

across – you will have 33 hdc.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, sk first st, working in back loops only, hdc2tog, hdc to last 2

sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in top of beg ch.

Row 3: Ch 3, turn, working in back loops only, hdc in first st, hdc to last 2 sts, sk

next st, hdc in top of beg ch.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 for pattern until almost all yarn has been used, end with a

Row 2 as the last row you work.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

Weave in ends.
