CONNECTING AND OPERATING
THE EXTREME CAT5 EXTENDER FOR HDMI

Connect your source to the Extreme CAT5 Extender for HDMI sender unit using 1.
the supplied HDMI cable.
Connect your display to the Extreme CAT5 Extender for HDMI receiver unit 2.
using a user supplied HDMI cable.
Connect the Extreme CAT5 Extender for HDMI sender and receiver units 3.
together using a user supplied CAT-5, CAT-5e, or CAT-6 cable.
Plug the included 5V DC power supplies into the Extreme CAT5 Extender for 4.
HDMI sender unit.
If there is no image or video noise on the display, please refer to the DIP 5.
SWITCH Usage Guide in the following section to adjust the video signal.
Please ensure that all cables are properly connected.6.
Wire your CAT-5, CAT-5e or CAT-6 as a “straight through” cable, using the 7.
TIA/
EIA-568-B wiring standard. Do not mix different types of cable. Please see
page 8 for a network cable wiring diagram.
Only the sending side needs to be powered. Do not connect power to the 8.
receiver unless the CAT-5, CAT-5e or CAT-5e cable run is longer than 150 feet
(45m).
