DIP SWITCH USAGE GUIDE
The sender and receiver of the Extreme CAT5 Extender For HDMI both contain
a set of DIP SWITCHES located underneath each unit. Peeling back the silver
sticker on the bottom of each unit will reveal the DIP SWITCH bank. These service
switches are used to boost and equalize the signal to best match the conditions in
your setup. (*Note: Adjustments should be done with the source and display on.
Switches 3 and 4 on both sender and receiver banks are not used.)

Adjustment Guidelines:
Strong boost should not be used on stranded cables. A strong boost will cause 1.
pixelation or no picture on these cables.
Using the wrong settings will not damage the units; it will either produce no 2.
image or a noisy image.
To eliminate the possibility of cross talk and interference, cables must be 3.
terminated with TIA/EIA-568-B speciî‚¿cations. Please see page 8 for a network
cable wiring diagram.
