IP Address
The Internet Protocol (IP) Address area sets all of the network settings including the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway
Address, DNS Server 1, DNS Server 2, and HTTP Port.
DHCP assigns an IP address to the Controller automatically on a network containing a DHCP Server (a router will typically
have a built-in DHCP Server). When Static is selected, options IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway must be entered.
DNS is an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. The IP address of a DNS is required if using NTP
time server or SMTP e-mail.
Editing Network Settings
1. Select DHCP or Static. (Skip to Step
5 if using DHCP).
2. Enter a static IP Address for the
Controller to use on the LAN.
The rst three values must match
other devices on the network (e.g.,
192.1.0.x).
3. Enter the Subnet Mask address.
The Subnet Mask determines the
manual address mask used by the
Controller (typically 255.255.255.0).
4. Set the Gateway Address to match
the address of the router that
connects the LAN to the Internet.
5. Enter the IP address of the DNS Server 1 (required for NTP, SMTP or FTP upgrade features).
6. Enter the IP address of the DNS Server 2 (recommended for NTP, SMTP or FTP upgrade features).
