breezEV Level 2 Charger: Wall-Mount Installation Options

When installing a breezEV Level 2 Charger on a wall in applications such as parking garages, various options are available for

installation and mounting. Each option is explained below:

Method 1: Wall-Mount Cable Management Pedestal

(for single or dual side by side)

In this option, we use the same cable management pedestal that is typically used for a ground mounted installation. The

pedestal sits, touching the ground. Instead of bolting it to the ground, an optional accessory (Part # EVC-L2-ACC-CMWMB) is

utilized. This is a “C” shaped bracket which allows for a 10in gap between the wall and the pedestal. The bracket first bolts to

the wall, and then is bolted to the back side of the pedestal. If the goal of your installation is to have a heavy-duty pedestal that

also serves as a wiring cabinet (for dual chargers), as well as surface area on the front of the pedestal for advertising/branding

(via a custom vinyl decal), then this is the recommended option. Since this utilizes the entire cable management pedestal, it will

be the costliest option. If the floor of the garage is not level or if there are pipes on the wall, care should be taken to ensure that

this option will work, since it may not sit level on the ground or mounting could be in the way of pipes.

Method 2: Wall-Mount Charger with Cable Tensioner (best for single) In this option, a single charger is mounted to the wall, and above it, an optional single cable tensioner is mounted. (Part # EVC-L2-ACC-CMT). A J1772 plug holster which comes with the charger standard is also bolted to the wall. In total 3 separate components will be bolted separately to the wall: (1) the charger, (2) the cable tensioner and (3) the J1772 holster.

Method 3: Wall-Mount Charger with optional J1772 Holster & J-Hook (not recommended for public use) In this option, a single charger is mounted to the wall, and below it the optional holster & J-Hook (Part # EVC-L2-ACC-HJH) is mounted to the wall. The only difference between this option and Method 4 is that instead of wrapping the cable around the charger, the cable can be wrapped around the charger and/or the J-Hook, giving the driver more options.

Method 4: Wall-Mount Charger with included Holster (not recommended for public use) In this option, a single charger is mounted to the wall, and below it the included holster that comes standard with the charger is mounted to the wall. No additional accessories are required to be purchased. This requires the driver after his/her charging session is complete to wrap the cable around the charger and plug the J1772 into the holster.
