Performance The Liebherr driveline allows different orientation for the Liebherr diesel engine. In the wheel loaders L 524 - L 556 the diesel engine is rotated through 90° and mounted transverse to the direction of travel, in the L 566 - L 580 it is mounted lengthways in the rear, with the output shaft facing backwards. Compared to conventionally driven wheel loaders, the operating weight is much lower, the tipping load is higher, and more material can be moved each operating hour.

4 Crawler tractors When handling wood chips, Liebherr crawler tractors have the advantage of maximum operating safety and economical operation. The stepless hydrostatic drive ensures outstanding traction on soft ground. The low centre of gravity facilitates safe working even on very steep piles. The dozer blades, developed especially for these operations, offer low weight and, at the same time, high capacity. All this ensures high pushing performance and economic operation.
Performance Power and innovative technology. These are the trademarks of the Generation 4 Liebherr crawler tractors. The optimal balance of operating weight and engine output ensures maximum productivity under all conditions. Whether they are deployed in paper mills or power plants, Liebherr crawler tractors impress in any situation by outstanding performance.

5 Telescopic handlers Liebherr telescopic handlers are particularly well suited to timber handling tasks thanks to their constructional design. Depending on the operation, the driving dynamics can be adapted at the touch of a button. Dynamic acceleration is made available for wood chip loading and handling, and soft acceleration is available for careful transportation of wood piles.
Performance All movements of the working hydraulics as well as the travel direction can be controlled conveniently via the multifunction joystick. In this way, the left hand can always stay on the steering wheel for more safety. Depending on the degree the joystick is moved, the speed of the diesel engine is automatically adjusted and, with it, the speed of the working hydraulics. The smallest turning circle in its class enables trouble-free manoeuvring even in tight conditions.

6 Reachstackers The LRS 645 LH (LogHandler) is based on the LRS 645 Reachstacker and specially developed for timber handling operations. Areas of application of the LRS 645 LH are pulp and paper mills, saw mills and timber terminals. The complete design was configured to optimise timber storage capacities and minimise maintenance costs. The LRS 645 LH is ideally suited for loading and unloading HGVs and railway goods carriages as well as for sorting and stacking operations.
Performance The uniquely curve-shaped telescopic boom enables unrivalled reaches of up to 10 metres and a height of up to 12 metres. A further advantage is the possibility of handling material below ground level. In this way, for example, it is possible to load and unload logs from barges. The wood grapple can be rotated through 360° and also pivoted forwards and backwards. Reliability A well-developed design and trusted quality standards make the Liebherr LogHandler a trademark for reliability.
