Control Panel Features
Locations of Surface Elements and Controls
The surface burner elements are positioned in the same locations on the cooktop and the control panel for
ease of use.

Before Using the Cooktop
Before using the cooktop for the first time, clean it
with a ceramic cooktop cleaner. This helps protect
the top and makes cleanup easier. See Care and
Cleaning.
CAUTION
• Never use abrasive scrubbing pads or cleaners.
They can cause permanent damage to the
cooktop surface.
Turning the Appliance On
Turn the cooktop on by pressing the POWER
button for 1 second.
NOTE
• After you have pressed the Power button to turn
on your cooktop, you must select an element
and power level within approximately 20
seconds. Otherwise, the cooktop will switch itself
off for safety reasons.
