12 INSTALLATION Product Specifications The appearance and specifications listed in this manual may vary due to constant product improvements. Electrical requirements 120 VAC @ 60 Hz Min. / Max. water pressure 20 – 120 psi (138 – 827 kPa) Dimensions 23 1/2" (W) X 26" (D) X 14 1/2" (H), 42 1/8" (D with drawer open) 59.5 cm (W) X 65.9 cm (D) X 36.
INSTALLATION 13 Choosing the Proper Location ENGLISH Install the washer on a solid floor that is strong and rigid enough to support the weight of the washer, even when fully loaded, without flexing or bouncing. If the floor has too much flex, you may need to reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise. NOTE ••The washer must be installed on firm flooring to minimize vibration during the spin cycle.
14 INSTALLATION Stacking the Mini Washer 3 Stacking switch Remove and save the foam block for future use. ••If the Mini Washer must be moved in the future, the foam block will help prevent damage to the Mini Washer during transportation. Brackets (front) Brackets (back) Brackets (front) (2 EA) 1 2 NOTE ••To prevent damage, do not remove the foam block until the Mini Washer is at the final location. Brackets (back) Stacking switch (2 EA) Tilt and hold the Main Washer.
INSTALLATION 15 6 8 Securely attach the two appliances at the corners using 14 type A screws. ••First, insert screws on each side. Then insert screws on the front and back side. NOTE ••Assembly may be more difficult if the steps are not performed in the proper order. ••Use two type C screws to assemble the stacking switch. 1 1 Stacking switch 7 2 3 Place the Main Washer on top of the Mini Washer.
16 INSTALLATION Connecting the Water Lines 1 Check the fittings and seals. Inspect the threaded fitting on each hose and make sure there is a rubber seal in place in both ends of each hose to prevent leaking. Rubber seal Water hose (to water inlet on washer) 2 Rubber seal 4 Attach the water lines to the back of the washer. Attach the hot water line to the hot water inlet on the back of the washer. Attach the cold water line to the cold water inlet on the back of the washer.
INSTALLATION 17 Connecting the Drain Hose ••The drain must be installed in accordance with any applicable local codes and regulations. ••Make sure that the drain hose is not stretched, pinched, crushed, or kinked. 1 Connect the drain hoses of the Main Washer and the Mini Washer to the drain connector. 2 Insert the included band clamps onto the ends of the two drain hoses. 3 Push the drain hoses firmly onto the drain connector and adjust the band clamps to secure the hoses.
18 INSTALLATION 2 Insert the end of the drain hose connector into the standpipe. Leveling the Appliance The tub of the washer spins at very high speeds. To minimize vibration, noise, and unwanted movement, the floor must be a level, solid surface. The slope beneath the washer should not exceed 1 inch, and all four leveling feet must rest firmly on the floor. WARNING ••To prevent the washer from tipping over, always move stacked machines from the bottom, not the top.
INSTALLATION 19 3 Tighten the locknuts. Turn the locknuts counter-clockwise and tighten them when the washer is level. If you install the washer on a slippery surface, it may move because of excessive vibration. Incorrect leveling may cause malfunction through noise and vibration. If this occurs, install the non-skid pads under the leveling feet and adjust the level. 1 Clean the floor to attach the non-skid pads. Use a dry rag to remove and clean foreign objects or moisture.
20 INSTALLATION Connecting to the Power Supply The washer should be plugged into a 120-VAC, 60 Hz grounded 3-prong outlet. Plug in the washer. WARNING ••Do not use a worn or damaged power cord or power plug. Replace or repair it immediately. Failure to do so may result in death, fire, electric shock, or malfunction. ••Do not modify the power cord and plug provided with the appliance. Do not damage it when installing or moving the washer. Doing so may result in death, fire, electric shock, or malfunction.
