Access Instant Messaging
Slide out the keyboard, and select
Messaging (2) then select IM (1), by
using ( ) on the Joystick or the
OK key on the keyboard.
GETTING STARTED: MOBILE EMAIL
Open Mobile Email
Slide out the keyboard highlight
Mobile Email (6) and press OK
Signing On
Enter your screen name/ID
and password and press OK.
(This information will automatically
be saved for future logins if Save
Password is set to Yes in
Settings/Preferences)
GETTING STARTED: INSTANT MESSAGING
Select an IM Provider
Use the Joystick to select the IM
community with which you would
like to connect, then press OK.
Note: The following instructions
and screens apply to AOL
®
Instant
Messenger
™
(AIM
®
) (left) and Yahoo!
Messenger (right) services. Actual
screen wording varies depending
on the IM provider selected.
A progress bar will show the status
of the connection while it is being
set up. It may take up to a minute
to establish a data link.
(Once you are connected, if you have
to close the keyboard to take a call,
you can return to your last IM screen
by sliding out the keyboard.)
Opening an Email
Just scroll down and highlight the
email subject line you want to open
and press down on the joystick.
Once the email opens, just select
Options to reply, forward, or delete.
Deleting an Email
Just scroll down to the email you
want to delete, press Options,
then Delete.
Log In
1. Highlight the ID entry field, press
down on the joystick and then
type in your existing email ID.
2. Scroll down and highlight the
Password field, press down
on the joystick, and enter
your password. Quick Tip: Your
password is case sensitive.
Press the (arrow) on the
keypad to change to lower case
or upper case.
3. To save your password, scroll
down to Remember me and press
down on the joystick to check
the box.
4. Select Sign In.
Select an Email Provider
Use the joystick to highlight the
email provider you wish to use
and press Options, then Select
(Note: Not all email providers
may be available on your phone)
