Connecting >>Caution yy Do not try to lift the speaker alone. It needs two persons to lift the speaker. Otherwise it may result in the speaker malfunction and cause personal injury and/or property damage. 2 Attaching the speaker light cables to the unit To connect the speaker light cable to the unit, insert the cable to SPEAKER LIGHT connectors on the unit. yy When you connect the speakers to the unit, make sure to connect the speaker’s cable and plug to the corresponding speaker terminal.

Select the CD or USB function by pressing CD or USB on the unit or FUNCTION on the remote control. Or Press DELETE repeatedly during selecting the MP3/WMA file.
Operating Playback effect ,,Note yy Find sound and playback effects below. Description Auto effect Auto effect blends various sound effects to fit the mood automatically. It includes flanger, phaser, delay, and chorus. Cross fade It playbacks to seamlessly fade from one song into the beginning of another. Back spin It playbacks a section of music fast in reverse. Loop To cancel it, press SMART DJ repeatedly until “SMART DJ OFF” appears on the display window. You can listen to music as usual.
Operating DJ effect AUTO DJ playback It allows you to enjoy DJ effect such as scratch sound and several kinds of voices yourself. Auto DJ blends the end of one song into the beginning of another for seamless playback. It equalizes volume across tracks/files for uninterrupted playback. 1. Press DJ EFFECT on the unit. The display window changes each time you press DJ EFFECT as followings : OFF -> SCRATCH -> VOICE 1 -> VOICE 2 -> VOICE 3.
Operating JUKE BOX Playback (Program play) JUKE BOX function enables you to store your favourite tracks/files from any disc or USB device. Up to 100 tracks/files can be stored for each device. Making JUKE BOX list It is supported only on stop status. 1. Press and hold JUKE BOX to enter the edit mode. 2. Select a track/file by pressing C/V on the remote control or by turning FILE SEARCH on the unit. 3. Press JUKE BOX to save the track/file. 5. Press JUKE BOX once again.
Operating Using a Bluetooth wireless technology About Bluetooth Bluetooth® is wireless communication technology for short range connection. The available range is within 10 meters. 3 Operating (The sound may be interrupted when the connection interfered by the other electronic wave or you connect the bluetooth in the other rooms.) Connecting individual devices under Bluetooth® wireless technology does not incur any charges.
Operating 23 ,,Note yy The sound may be interrupted when the connection interfered by the other electronic wave. yy You cannot control the Bluetooth device with this unit. yy Pairing is limited one Bluetooth device per one unit and multi-pairing is not supported. yy Although the distance between your Bluetooth and the set is less than 10 m, there are obstacles between both, your Bluetooth device cannot be connected. yy Depending on the type of the device, you may not be able to use the Bluetooth function.
Operating Presetting the Radio Stations You can preset 50 stations for FM. Before tuning, make sure to turn down the volume. 1. Press TUNER on the unit or FUNCTION on the remote control until FM appears in the display window. 2. Press TUNING-/+ on the remote control or Y/U on the unit to select a desired frequency. 3. Press TUNER MEMORY. A preset number will blink in the display window. 4. Press PRESET.FOLDER W/S to select the preset number you want. 3 5. Press TUNER MEMORY. The station is stored.
Operating 25 Other Operations Turn off the sound temporarily Press MUTE@ to mute your unit. You can mute your unit, for example, to answer the telephone, the mute icon “Q” is blinked in the display window. Displaying file information (ID3 TAG) DEMO In the power off state, it demonstrates the function on display window with a demo sound and a display by pressing SPEAKER LIGHT/DEMO. To cancel the DEMO, press it again.
Operating Sound adjustment Setting the surround mode This system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. You can select a sound mode you want by using SOUND EFFECT on the remote control. The displayed items for the Equalizer may be different depending on sound sources and effects. 3 ,,Note yy On some speakers, sound may not be heard or heard in low sound depending on the sound mode.
Operating 27 Setting the Clock Using your player as an alarm clock 1. Turn the unit on. 1. Turn the unit on. 2. Press CLOCK. 2. Press TIMER. Each of functions flashes. 3. Select time mode by turning MULTI JOG on the unit or press C/V on the remote control. 3. Press RDS/SET when the function you want to be woken by is showing. - AM 12:00 (for an AM and PM display) or 0:00 (for a 24 hour display) 4. “ON TIME” will be displayed.
Operating Sleep Timer Setting Press SLEEP repeatedly to select delay time between 10 and 180 minutes. After the delay time, the unit will be turned off. To cancel the sleep function, press SLEEP repeatedly until “SLEEP 10” appears, and then press SLEEP once again while “SLEEP 10” is displayed. ,,Note yy You can check the remaining time before the unit is turned off. yy Press SLEEP. The remaining time appears in the display window.

Press C/V on the remote control or Y/U on the unit to select a bit rate. 3. Press USB REC on the unit or USB REC on the remote control again to select the recording speed. 4. No sound. yy Check whether electricity failed. Check the condition by operating other electronic devices. yy Check whether you select right function. Press FUNCTION and check the selected function. yy If not, connect speaker cables correctly. Speaker cables connected correctly. yy An unplayable disc is inserted. Check the playable disc.
