OR FUSE AND TEST THAT THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
• TO AVOID RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, ALL NON-GFCI RECEPTACLES MUST BE
GFCI PROTECTED.
IF WATER ENTERS THE ASSEMBLY, TURN POWER OFF AT THE CIRCUIT
BREAKER and replace the unit immediately.
CAUTIONS
• Install and/or use in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
• Use only the electrical mounting box provided.
• Use indoors only. Not for use in wet locations, such as kitchen or bathroom countertops.
• For surfaces greater than 2 1/4" thick. (5.72 cm), use the overmount installation.
• If you are unsure about any part of these instructions, consult an electrician.
• Use this device with copper or copper clad wire only.

Before you install the pop-up receptacle
• Check under flooring to make sure there is enough clearance to accommodate the
box assembly.
• Choose a mounting site where the top of the surface is smooth and free of dirt and
surface irregularities.
• If there are surface irregularities, consider using a flexible sealant between
mounting surface and pop-up assembly.
Installation
1. Choose template and installation method
• For floors with access underneath, use undermount installation (See Template A), included.
• For surfaces greater than 2 1/4" thick. (5.72 cm), use the overmount installation (See Template B), included.
• For concrete installation, cut finished flooring to the size of the box.
2a. Undermount Installation of Box
• Use Template A to cut opening.
• Remove the knockouts furthest from the front of the
box. Pull the conductors through, leaving 6" (15.2 cm)
inside of the box.
• Secure mounting brackets to underside of flooring
using appropriate screws (not provided).

2b. Overmount Installation of Box
• Use Template B. Rout the hatched areas 3/16" deep
in the subflooring.
• Remove the knockouts furthest from the front of the
box. Pull the conductors through, leaving 6" (15.2 cm)
inside of the box.
• Secure mounting brackets to routed area using
appropriate screws (not provided).
• Install finished flooring. NOTE: When finished
flooring is installed, the box should be 1/8" to 1/4"
below the surface of the finished flooring.
