OPERATION
PUSH-BUTTON:Cat.No.OSSNL/OSSNL-INx/OSS10-IDxhasa
push-button switch that toggles the lights (refer to gure).Ifthe
lightsareOFF,thelightswillturnONwhenthebuttonispressed,and
remainONinthepresenceofmotion.Intheabsenceofmotion,the
SensorUnitwilltime-outandturnthelightsOFF.
IfthelightsareON,thelightswillturnOFFwhenthebuttonispressed.
ThelightswillstayOFFregardlessofmotiondetected,untilthetime-
outexpires.Afterthetime-outexpires,thelightswillturnON(Auto-ON
Modeonly)withthenextdetectedmotion.Thisisusefulforslideor
lmpresentations.
NOTES:
• TheMotionIndicatorLEDwillblinkevery2secondswhilemotionis
detected.
• InManual-ONmode,thebuttonmustbepressedtoturnthe
lightsON.

detected,theSensorUnitwillwaitacertainamountoftimeand
thenturnthelightsOFF.Thiswaittimeiscalled‘time-out’.
The“time-out”isselectedfromfour(4)presetvalues.Pointingthe
arrowatoneofthemarkingsonthefacechoosesthevalueoftime.
ThebuttonLEDindicatorlightwillashtwicewhenthetimesetting
haschanged.Thefollowingselectionsareavailable:

MANUAL-ON MODE (OSSNL-INx ONLY):Thefactorydefault
settingfortheOSSNLisManual-ON.Tochangethissettingto
Auto-ON/OFF,turnthedialmarked“ONMODE/NLDIM”clockwise
anywhereintotheareathatindicates“AUTO”.Toreturnto
Manual-ON,turnthedialcounter-clockwiseanywhereintothearea
thatindicates“MAN”.

NIGHTLIGHT:TheOSSNL/OSSNL-INx/OSS10-IDxrespondsto
theambientlightlevelpresentinaroom.TheOSSNL/OSSNL-INx/
OSS10-IDxusesaninternalphotocelltodetectwhentheambient
lightlevelisapproximatelylessthan1footcandleactivatingthe
LEDNightLight.Further,theinternalphotocellwillturnOFFthe
LEDNightLightwhenitdetectsanambientlightlevelover5foot
candles.TheLEDNightLighthasadjustablelightoutputtomeetthe
needs of the space and can be set to for continuous mode or dim
modewhichwillautomaticallydimto5%offullbrightnessafter2
minutesofnooccupancy.
NIGHTLIGHT DIM:ToadjusttheLEDNightLightoutput,turnthe
dialmarked“ONMODE/NLDIM”(OSSNL-INx)or“NITELITEDIM”
(OSS10)counter-clockwisetodecreaseandclockwisetoincrease
lightoutput.
NIGHTLIGHT MODE:Thefactorydefaultsettingforthe
NightLightModeisdimmedmode.ThismeanstheLEDNightLight
automaticallydimsto5%offullbrightnessafter2minutesofno
occupancywhenactivatedbytheinternalphotocell.Tochangethe
NightLightModeperformthefollowingprocedure:
1. Press and hold the push button for 2 seconds to determine the
currentmode.
a. NightLightashesonceevery1secondforContinuousMode
untilthebuttonisreleased.
b. NightLightashestwiceevery1secondforDimModeuntil
thebuttonisreleased.
2.Tochange,holdthepushbuttonfor10secondsandtheMode
willtoggle.Thiswillbeindicatedbyachangeintheashpattern
asdescribedabove.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1.Ifthereisnoresponsefromtheunit(thelightneverturnsONand
theLEDneverblinks)11/2minutesafterpowerisapplied,then
uninstalldeviceandverifythereisagroundconnectionatthe
wallbox.Ifthereisagroundconnection,verifywiring.
2.IfthelightsneverturnON,buttheLEDblinks,checkifthe
Manual-ONsetting(OSSNLonly).SeeManual-ONModesettingfor
adjustments.
3.IfthelightsconstantlystayON,evenwhentheroomisunoccupied:
A.ChecktheTimesetting.Seehowthistimecomparestohow
longthelightsstayON.
B.TryloweringtheRangeControl.Rotatetheknobcounter-
clockwiseabout30°.
C.Iftheproblempersists,tryreducingagain.
