5.163.1 Selection of the characteristic
The up to nine points of the characteristic are selected via the subcodes of C04101 and C04102.
The same subcodes of C04101 and C04102 correspond to a pair of variates/point (x
n
, y
n
).
The first pair of variates (C04101/1 and C04102/1) is always valid.
The X values of the characteristic must be entered in ascending order (X1<X2<…<X9).
If the ascending chain of x values is interrupted, this corresponds to the end of the characteristic
(in the example X5 < X4):
Based on the last valid pair of variates, an extrapolation is executed to the end of the x value
range (±200 %) on both sides.
In the characteristic modes 1 and 2, only the range of the characteristic entered in the quadrants
I. and IV. is used.
