27.1 Danger notes
2.7.2 Supply voltage
The tibre-optic adaptor at the drive controller is aupplied by the
drive controller itselt. The tibre-optic adaptor St the master
computer is supplied by an extarrtal power supply unit (part no. 352
016). The tibre-Optic &stributor 5 supplied by an esternal 24V DC
voltage.
Note:
lt the drive controller 5 de-energized (disconnected trom
mama) the tibre-optic ring will ha interruptad.
When having 5 separate supply ot power stage and control stege
ot the drive controllcr, the power stage may ha de-energized (eg.
tor sataty reasons). The control stage, and thus the tibre-optic
adaptor, remain ready tor Operation
2.7.3 Setting of the drive controller
To connect the drive controllar to a tibre-optic ring er a tibra-optic
network, the tollowing parameters must be set:
• Enter contruller address under coo
• Setoperating mode under 001:
-2- tor parameter setting via interface RS-232
-3- tor control and parameter setting via interface RS-232.
• Save changed parameters under 003.

Note:
Each controller address can only be assirtned once.

Caution:
1. The opticar tibre can ha in)luertced by strong magnetic tields
(e. g. busbars ot galvanic systems).
2. For external supply ot Ihe tibre-optic adaptors 2125 and 2126,
pin 9 ot the sub-D socket may not be wired in the master
computer, otherwise, the master computer can be dastroyad.
