3 Playing a CD 4 2 1 Connect the supplied AC power cord or batteries(see page 14). 1 F UN C TION CD Slide the Function Switch to CD position (power on). R AD IO TAPE 2 3 4 OP E N CLOSE PLAY/PAUS E Press the CD Door Open button to open the CD Door and place the CD in the CD compartment. The label side of the CD should face upward. Close the CD Door by pushing it down at the position marked CLOSE. Press the CD Play/Pause Button. The player plays all the tracks once.

To resume play, press the Play/ Pause Button again, the Play/Pause Lamp will stop flashing and music will play. Creating your own music program (Program Play) Program Repeat Lamp Lamp You can make a program of up to 19 tracks in the order you want them to be played. Program Button 1. Slide the Function Switch to CD position. Make sure the CD is stopped. 2. Press the Program Button. The number 0 and the Program Lamp will flash. 3. Press or to select the tracks you want to program in the order you want. 4. Press the Program Button to confirm. The number 0 and the Program Lamp will flash. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4.

For best recording effect, use the AC power instead of batteries. To erase a recording, just start a new one, and the old recording is automatically replaced. Choosing the power sources You can use the AC power or batteries as a power source. AC SOCKET 1. To a wall outlet 2. Troubleshooting General Problem The power is not on. Remedy Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet securely. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and they are fresh. There is no sound. Make sure the Function Switch is at the right position as you want. Adjust the volume. Unplug the headphones when listening through speakers. CD player appears in the display even when a CD is in place. CD does not play. Radio The sound drops out.
