Runningtests
Therearefourwaystorunthediagnostictests.
•Usingthecursormovementkeys,selectRunNormalTestorRunQuickT estfromtheDiagnosticsmenu
andthenpressEnter.Thisautomaticallyrunsapre-denedgroupoftestsfromeachtestcategory.By
selectingRunQuickT est,aquicktestwillbestarted.ByselectingRunNormalTest,amoreextensive
setoftestswillbestartedandwilltakelongertocomplete.
•PressF5toautomaticallyrunallselectedtestsinallcategories.
•Fromwithinatestcategory,pressCtrl+Entertoautomaticallyrunonlytheselectedtestsinthatcategory.
•Usingthecursormovementkeys,highlightasingletestwithinatestcategory,andthenpressEnter.
Thisrunsonlythattest.
PressEscatanytimetostopthetestingprocess.
Testresults(N/A,PASSED,FAILED,ABORTED)aredisplayedintheeldbesidethetestdescriptionandin
thetestlog.See“Viewingthetestlog”onpage15.
Toselectoneormoretests,dothefollowing:
1.Openthecorrespondingtestcategory.
2.Usingthecursormovementkeys,selectthedesiredtest.
3.Pressthespacebar.Aselectedtestismarkedby>>.Pressingthespacebaragainde-selectsa
testandremovesthe>>mark.
4.Repeatsteps2and3abovetoselectalldesiredtests.

drive,serialorparallelport,processor,specicRIMM,oradeviceonthePCIbus.
•Date:Containsthedatewhenthediagnostictestwasrun.ThedateisretrievedfromCMOSandis
displayedintheYYYYMMDDformat.
•ChkDigits:Containsa2-digitcheck-digitvaluetoensurethefollowing:
–Diagnosticswererunonthespecieddate.
–Diagnosticswererunonthespeciedserver.
–Thediagnosticerrorcodeisrecordedcorrectly.
