Installationrequirements
ThissectionaddressessystemrequirementsforinstallingtheRescueandRecoverypackageon
Thinkbrandedsystems.Forbestresults,makesurethatyouhavethelatestversionofthesoftware
installed.ToobtainthelatestversionoftheRescueandRecoveryprogram,gototheLenovoWebsiteat

RequirementsforLenovocomputers
ToinstalltheRescueandRecoveryprogram,Lenovo-brandedcomputersmustmeetorexceedthefollowing
requirements:
•Operatingsystem:Windows7
•Microprocessor:supportsthe64–bitarchitecture
•Memory:1GB
–Insharedmemorycongurations,theBIOSsettingformaximumsharedmemorymustbesettono
lessthan8MB.
–Innon-sharedmemorycongurations,120MBofnon-sharedmemoryisrequired.
Note:Ifacomputerhaslessthan200MBofnon-sharedmemory,theRescueandRecoveryprogram
willrun;however,theuserwillbeunabletostartmorethanoneapplicationintheRescueand
Recoveryenvironment.
•InternetExplorer®5.5orlatermustbeinstalled.
•5GBoffreespaceonyourharddiskdrive:1GBfortheRescueandRecoveryprograminstallationand
4GBforthesystemcache.
•VGA-compatiblevideothatsupportsaresolutionof800x600and24-bitcolor.
•SupportedEthernetcard.
•Usermusthaveadministrativeprivileges.

TheWindowsInstallercanperformanadministrativeinstallationofanapplicationorproducttoanetwork
forusebyaworkgrouporforcustomization.FortheRescueandRecoveryinstallationpackage,an
administrativeinstallationunpackstheinstallationsourcelestoaspeciedlocation.
