Chapter2.Installation
ThischaptercontainsinstructionsforinstallingClientSecuritySolution,andFingerprintSoftware.Before
installingClientSecuritySolutionorFingerprintSoftware,youshouldunderstandthearchitectureofthe
applicationyouareinstalling.Thischapterprovidesthearchitectureofeachapplication,aswellasadditional
informationyouneedbeforeinstallingeitherprogram.
ClientSecuritySolution
TheClientSecuritySolutioninstallationpackagewasdevelopedwithInstallShield10.5PremierasaBasic
MSIproject.InstallShieldusestheWindowsInstallertoinstallapplications,whichgivesadministratorsmany
capabilitiestocustomizeinstallations,suchassettingpropertyvaluesfromthecommandline.Thischapter
describeswaystouseandexecutetheClientSecuritySolutionsetuppackage.Forabetterunderstanding,
readtheentirechapterbeforeyoubegintoinstallthesepackages.
