–Betterperformancewithoutfaulttolerance

•RAIDLevel1–Mirroreddiskarray

–Twoharddiskdrivesminimum

–Improvedreadperformanceand100%redundancy

5.PressF10tosavethenewsettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.

CreatingRAIDvolumes

ThissectiondescribeshowtousetheIntelMatrixStorageManageroptionROMcongurationutilityto

createRAIDvolumes.

TocreateRAIDvolumes,dothefollowing:

1.PressCtrl+IwhenpromptedtoentertheIntelMatrixStorageManageroptionROMcongurationutility

duringthecomputerstartup.

2.UsetheupanddownarrowkeystoselectCreateRAIDVolumeandpressEnter.

3.TypeaproperRAIDVolumenameintheNameeldandpressTab.

4.UsethearrowkeystoselectaRAIDlevelintheRAIDLeveleldandpressTab.

5.Ifappropriate,usethearrowkeystoselectaStripeSizeintheStripeSizeeldandpressTab.

6.TypeavolumesizeintheCapacityeldandpressTab.
