TheupperpartoftheRemoteConsolewindowcontainsacontrolbar.Usingitselementsyoucanseethe
statusoftheRemoteConsoleandinuencethelocalRemoteConsolesettings.
Thefollowingsubsectionsdescribethetasksyoucanperformwithineachcontrol.
RemoteConsolevideomenu
ClickVideointheRemoteConsolecontrolbartoopentheRemoteConsoleVideoMenu.
Usingthismenu,youcandothefollowing:
•PauseRedirection:Temporarilypausesredirectionofkeyboard,video,andmouse.TheRemoteConsole
windowstopsbeingupdated.KeyboardshortcutisALT+P .
•ResumeRedirection:Resumeredirectionafterapause.ShortcutisALT+R.
•RefreshVideo:RefreshestheRemoteConsolewindow.ShortcutisALT+E.
•Compression:EnablingcompressionimprovestheresponsivenessoftheRemoteConsole.Disabling
compressionmaximizesthequalityoftheredirectedvideo.
•FullScreen:Toggleswindowed/fullscreenmodeoftheRemoteConsole.ShortcutisALT+F.
•Exit:CloseRemoteConsole.
RemoteConsolekeyboardmenu
ClickKeyboardtoopenthekeyboardmenuwithoptionstoperformtasks.
Usingthismenu,youcandothefollowing:
•HoldCtrl/Alt/Windowskeys:Allowssimulatingholdingdownthesespecialkeysontheremote
keyboard.Onthelocalkeyboardthesespecialkeysareprocessedbythelocaloperatingsystemand
notpassedontotheremoteoperatingsystem.
•Ctrl+Alt+Del:IssueaCtrl+Alt+Deltotheremoteoperatingsystem.

ClickMousetoopenthemousemenuwithoptionstoperformtasks
TheMousesubmenuofferstwooptions:
•ShowCursor:ThisoptiontogglesthecursordisplayintheRemoteConsolewindow.Itdoesnotaffect
theremotesystemcursor.ShortcutisALT+C.
•CalibrateMouseAcceleration:Thisoptionisusedtodetecttheaccelerationsettingsontheremote
systemandsetthelocalclient’saccelerationsettingaccordingly.ItonlyapplieswheninRelativeMouse
Mode,selectedinthewebpageConguration➙MouseMode.AbsoluteMouseModedoesnot
requirecalibration.ShortcutisALT+A.
ForRelativeMouseModeoperation,followingisthemechanismtosynchronizethemousesettings.
